Create an Online Photo Album
Digital photo albums
Following the Second World War, photography became cheap enough to be affordable by ordinary people, if not the masses. A great deal of pride was taken in creating photo book that could be stored like bound leather tomes on bookshelves. In order to create a photo album, a reel of negative film would be bought and inserted into a camera. Up to 36 photographs could be taken and then the negative film would be dropped into a film processor, such as a chemist. About a week later, the photo prints and the negatives would be collected from the film processor and the best of the prints proudly displayed in a photo album.
Photography since those days of celluloid has become cheap and easy but in the process something has got lost and that is the photo albook. All too often, people keep their precious photos in the digital domain, often within an online photo album so that friends and family can look at their photos online. The problem with an online photo book is that it is not permanent and in ten, twenty or fifty years, the online photo-album will have disappeared along with the online photos. Reality is what lasts and a real photo book that you can touch will give people pleasure today and will give people pleasure in years to come
You can create, by going to certain websites, the most marvellous digital photo albums that mean so much more than an online photo website that can only be viewed via a computer. If you create a an album utilising your favourite digital photos, you can create a real photo album style book or albums that are printed to look like real books but have the same emotional impact as traditional albums of old - only your photos cannot fall out!
There are online websites such as Bonusprint where there are templates that can help you design the individual pages within your digital albums. Your favourite photos will be printed as though within a real book and your comments, names of people and locations, can all be included within the pages. In fact, as much or as little can be said by you to accompany the photos in your album book, which is designed to be placed on a bookshelf, just like leather-bound albums of old.

Once you see the results of your online album transferred into a beautifully printed photo book-album, reality is what you will wish to stick to in the future. No amount of online photo hosting can take the place of a printed photo book, although it is thanks to digital photography and the uploading power of the internet that printed photo book can be created by you so effectively and printed and delivered so swiftly. If you have a special event coming up, such as a wedding anniversary, then there can be no better gifts than digital photo "albooks" that can be up to 120 pages long - the choice is always yours as well as the praise for your photo album.

What is the best Cold War influenced TV show, movie, book, song, or album? Why?
Blatantly influenced, that is. Preferably from the '50s to early '70s...

Examples - "The Hunt for Red October", "99 Luftballons", "Mission: Impossible", James Bond books/movies...
I'm not sure which is the best, but here are some examples (among many) to choose from:
Movies: The Manchurian Candidate, Ninotchka, Red Dawn, Dr. Strangelove, Wargames, First Blood (Rambo), Fail Safe (Note: Some of these movies were books first).
TV Shows: The Day After, Amerika, Get Smart, Mission Impossible (Note that the first two were TV miniseries).
Songs: 99 Red Balloons, Land of Confusion, Russians (by Sting), Eve of Destruction, A Hard Rains Gonna Fall (Dylan). Also check out the NO NUKES concert in or around 1980.
Books: There are so many. I would look at the Tom Clancy and WIlliam F. Buckley, Jr. novels.
Admittedly, I don't think there were many cold-war influenced songs, tv shows and movies that were released during the cold war period prior to the 1970's. However, more cold-war inspired entertainment vehicles were released during the 1980's when the Cold War started to heat-up.
