Fun Baby Shower Games For Your Special Baby Party
Fun Baby Shower Games For Your Special Baby Party
For parents-to-be, a Baby Shower Party can be a fun way to celebrate the approaching birth of their child. However, you want to make sure that you don't just use the event as a way to get gifts. Whoever throws the event should also entertain the guests by providing food and planning for some fun Baby Shower Games, http://www.cards-411.com/baby-shower-party/baby-shower-games If you're new to this, here are some ideas to get you started.
Basic Baby Shower Game
If you're looking for an easy and fun baby game shower, one of the best is a word scramble. Write down 20 to 25 baby-related items on a piece of paper. Now mix up the letters in each of the words. Make copies of the scrambled baby items for each of your guests then let them try to figure out all of the words. You can either put a time limit on their efforts or wait for the first person to complete all of the scrambles. Other similar baby showers games would include baby-related word searches and crossword puzzles that can be generated for free through online sites.
Another fun example of activities is to fill-in-the-blanks of common nursery rhymes. Give guests a list of 10 to 20 lines from these rhymes but make sure to leave out important words and replace them with blanks. You can either make them come up with the missing words on their own or provide a list of possible word choices depending on difficult you want your free Baby Shower Games, http://www.cardsshoppe.com/baby-shower-invitations/baby-shower-games.htm to be.
Interactive Shower Activities
If you want games that are going to get your guests talking, then a fun one is to play Name that Baby Food. Purchase 20 to 25 small bottles of baby food and remove all of the labels. Pass around each of the containers but make sure each is clearly numbered using a permanent marker and have each guest guess the type of food. You could also do an alternative version where some of your guests have to compete in a tasting contest to name the most baby foods.
Another common shower game is to have guests cut pieces of yarn that are supposed to be the same size as the diameter of the mother-to-be's belly. Obviously, the further along the mother is at the time of the event the more fun this game can be.
Other Games for Baby Shower
Some Baby Shower Games, http://www.express-invitations.com/baby-shower-invitations/baby-shower-games.php start at the beginning of the event and go through until the end. For example, you could have a specific word that no one is supposed to say during the party, such as "baby." When each guest arrives, give her or him a clothespin. If the guest says the word and one of the other guests points it out, that guest gets the other person's clothespin. At the end of the baby shower, the guest with the most collected clothespins gets a prize.
When it comes to Baby Shower Games, fun and creativity are more important than having expensive prizes. That's something else to keep in mind.

Looking for a baby shower game I once played?
I played this game at a shower before. It was a Story about a baby with blanks throughout that would have to be filled in with the name of a fruit or vegetable. ie. the baby had a cute little TURNIP nose or your friends will be PEA green with envy. it was a paragraph with about 15 blanks. Help me find it please.
5 New Games to Play at Your Baby Shower
Are you looking for some fun and interesting games to play at the baby shower you are hosting? Games are the key to hosting a memorable baby shower that all of your guests will be certain to remember. At the same time, many baby shower games have been played so often that they simply are not very exciting for your guests. With these new games played at baby showers, on the other hand, your guests will be sure to have a great time.
Game #1: Dressing Baby
You can get your guests moving and having a good time with the baby dressing game. With this game, you simply purchase a life size doll as well as clothing items such as a diaper, an undershirt, pants, socks, shoes and more. Then, time each player tries to see how quickly she can get the “baby” dressed and undressed. The person who accomplishes the task the most quickly is the winner – and the clothes can be given to the mom-to-be when the game is done.
Game #2: Name that Baby
A traditional game that is often played at baby showers involves instructing guests to come up with one baby name for each letter of the alphabet and giving a prize to the first person who comes up with a name for each letter. You can put a fun twist on this game, however, by providing your guests with a limited amount of time to come up with their names. Then, have each guest take turns reading off her list of names. Everyone who has the same name on her list has to cross that name off. Therefore, the more unique the name, the greater the chances of having the most names left on the list and winning the game.
Game #3: Images of Baby
If you are looking for a game that is sure to be fun for your guests and to draw some laughter from everyone, you might want to try the baby drawing game. First, have each guest place her initials or name on the back of a paper plate. Then, instruct your guests to draw a picture of a baby on the other side of the plate. The catch? Your guests have to place the paper plate on their top of their heads and draw a picture without looking at what they are doing. After each guest has about 2 to 3 minutes to draw her picture, collect the plates and have the mom-to-be choose the winning drawing – but, make sure everyone gets to see the resulting pictures as they are being judged.
Game #4: Name that Tune
Thanks to the magic of modern technology, you can play a baby shower game that wasn’t so easy to put together a few years ago. First, brainstorm a list of songs containing the word “baby” in them and burn the songs onto a CD that you can play at the shower. At the shower, divide your guests into teams and play your own version of “Name that Tune.”
To play the game, each team first sends a contestant up to the front of the room. Then, facts about a song are read to all of the contestants. Each contestant then names how many seconds of the song she needs to hear in order to “Name that Tune.” The contestants continue to outbid each other by lowering the number of seconds they think they need to hear of the song in order to name it. The bidding continues until one contestant challenges the other to “Name that Tune.” If the challenged contestant correctly names the song, she earns a point for her team.
This game will involve some advance preparation, including looking up interesting facts about the song. With the help of the Internet, however, this task is made much easier!
Game #5: Break the Water
Since the guest of water will have to cope with her water eventually breaking, why shouldn't her guests have to endure the same thing? With this game, you will need to find some small, plastic babies or other baby shower-themed item. Then, freeze them inside a plastic cup prior to the shower. Hand out a cup to each woman as she enters the shower. The first woman to melt the ice or otherwise free her baby from the frozen cup wins a prize.
Have Fun
