Im getting a tattoo of just lettering, how can i spice it up?
Im getting the last two lines of the poem invictus tattooed above my peck but wanna have more than just words, like have it on an old piece or paper or something? but not that, idono any ideas?
Hmm unconquered - sounds like you want a token to remind you of a personal battle you have fought. Perhaps the words overlaid on a victory sign or a flag. The poem used the word scroll so that is a possibility too. Ask the tattooist for a display of different fonts too - I personally like the Tolkien style that the Lord of The Rings author developed. My nephew is a tattooist and they usually have a few ideas of their own too.
Invictus - William Ernest Henley
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
