Welcome Home Noah

A married couple can live to as well help others-Sharing in the Joy of helping others creates more intimacy between couples and maintains the bond

Now we come to the purest, most beautiful truth that will make marriage truly happy; joy comes from giving, not from getting. "It is more blessed to give than to receive," said Jesus (Acts 20:35). If husband and wife allow their time and money gathering things for their own personal, selfish enjoyment. Then they will shrivel up like a wrinkled, pitchy old Orange.

We weren't created for the purpose of living for ourselves. Look at the things of Nature- everything lives for others. The flowers give their honey for the bees. the rivers flow to water the thirsty land and then to replenish the oceans. The Oceans produce the clouds that bring the showers of rain, the sun shines to gladden the darkest corner of the forest, the birds sing to give us music. So we find our purpose in life in giving ourselves for others. This secret of life is taught everywhere in Nature. Jesus had a hard time in Palestine with His own people, the Jew. They were plotting to Kill Him. At a critical time in His life, some Europeans came to Him. "Sir, we would like to see Jesus," they said to Andrew (John 12:22). They would welcome Him, whereas the Jews were plotting to kill Him. This could have been a temptation to Jesus. The outside world would treat Him better than the Jews would! Why stay in Jerusalem and be crucified?

Then Jesus told them how He had understood a lesson from Nature, which we all need to learn:
Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat falls into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man will serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also My servant be (Verses 24-26).
Thank you. He said in effect, but I shall not go with you to Europe. I shall stay right here where My father has appointed Me to be, and I shall "fall into the ground and die" like a seed. Only in this way can I bring forth "much fruit." If we live to ourselves as the vast majority of Earth's people do, we shall be like seeds that lie on a shelf until they just dry up and wither away. By giving yourself you keep yourself, that is, you find true happiness. A marriage that is devoted to serving others, to lifting others' heavy burdens and bringing them happiness, will most likely be a happy marriage. Your own troubles tend to disappear as you are concerned for others. Husband and wife find fun sacrificing together for a good cause.

This of course means love in action. It is "to be ready to every good work" (Titus 3:1), not in a mere "do-good, goody-goody" manner, but as the outward expression of an inner love that has come from the savior of the world. Since Abraham was chosen to be "the father of the faithful," God's people have been called to be "the light of the world." "In thee shall all families of the earth be blessed," the Lord promised (compare Matthew 5:14; Genesis 12:3). Now let other "families of the Earth" be blessed by your family! Therefore open your home to needy young people. "Adopt" some homeless child. Visit sick people in hospitals. "Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands-all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you" (Luke 6:38,).

Often the Church is the most available way for a married couple to find a way to serve. If a Church proclaims the pure true gospel of Jesus Christ, it will provide many opportunities for service in the name of the Lord. Probably the happiest married people in the world today are those who work with the Lord for the uplifting of their fellow men. As outside influences have permeated the Church, there has come a growing preoccupation with material things. Happiness is equated with fine clothes, a beautiful house, expensive furniture and appliances, an impressive vehicle etc. Such luxuries have become available at the very time in world history when they are most deceptive and dangerous and least appropriate. We live in what the Bible calls "the last days" (2 Timothy 3:1), or "the time of the end" (Daniel 12:4). There is both a special danger and a special opportunity in living in these last days. Jesus has reminded us:
As it was in the time of Noah so shall it be in the days of the son of Man. Everybody kept on eating and drinking, and men and woman married, up to the very day Noah went into the boat and the flood came and killed them all. It will be as it was in the time of Lot. Everybody kept one eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. On the day Lot left Sodom, fire and Sulfur rained down from Heaven and killed them all. That is how it will be on the day the son of Man is revealed (Luke 17:25-30).

Be careful not to let yourselves become occupied with too much feasting and drinking and with the worries of this life, or that Day may suddenly catch you like a trap. For it will come upon all people everywhere on earth. Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man (21:34-36).
Many thoughtful people are now "Careful" about this dangerous selfish materialism. They deny themselves luxuries they could afford and are moving "back to the land" to get away from the materialistic orgies of the big cities with their advertising. "Watch out and guard yourselves from every kind of greed, because a person's true life is not made up of the things he owns, no matter how rich he may be" (Luke 12:15). Many people in the West are fed up with this "greed". The Lord has given us a simple plan to find happiness in sharing what He gives us-tithing. One tenth is returned to Him as tithe, and offerings as we wish to respond to the promptings of His Holy Spirit. The tithe is returned to the Church which you believe faithfully proclaims the full gospel of Christ. You can read all about tithing in Leviticus 27: 30-33; Numbers 18:20-24; 1 Corinthians 9:8-14; Matthew 23:23; Malachi 3:10-12. returning the Lord this one-tenth is our confession that all we possess is really a gift from Him. Seldom does a husband or wife have marital discord who put the Lord first in their lives by returning tithes and offerings to Him and together bringing sunshine into other's lives.

Never sine the world began have its people been so immersed in the sea of materialism as they are today. When the kingdom of Judah fell in the conquests by Babylon six centuries before Christ, all the wealth piled up by the rich was destroyed. Baruch, Jeremiah's secretary, had feelings like Lot's wife who looked back longingly toward the riches of Sodom. But the Lord set Baruch straight on the true priorities of Life:
O Baruch: thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the Lord hath added grief to my sorrow; and I find no rest. The Lord saith thus, Behold that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up even this whole land. And seekest thou great things for thyself? Seek them not; for behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord, but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places wither thou go (Jeremiah 45:2-5).

In the fall of modern saigon, thousands of Vietnamese willingly gave all the gold they possessed if only they could escape with their lives. Once when I was so sick that I thought I would certainly die, I thought that if only I could get well and live, I would be happy to make any sacrifice in service for the Lord-just to be alive. The one who appreciates the Cross of Christ knows that he lives only by the grace of Savior who died in his stead. Henceforth it becomes his greatest joy to help his fellow-men as the Lord has helped him. And this is the surest path to happiness in your marriage!

The Dead Sea Scrolls Book of Lamach gives an astonishing description on Noah as a Half breed alien, read more?

Noah's father in this account becomes angry with his wife Bat-Enosh when he returns home and sees the strange looking child among his family, and requires an answer from her concerning where this strange child that looked like the sons of Anak came from, She swears it is of his seed and not that of a soldier or a traveler of one of the sons of God. Distressed Lamach goes to visit his father Enoch, and describes the child with strange features, his hair, his skin color his physical features looking nothing like all the rest of the family, and asks what he should do. Enoch answers, that because of this and all the other evil God will one day be destroyed by a flood, and Lamach should return home and raise the strange child as his own and call him Noah.

My question is are you familiar with this account, and if so what do you make of it. If you do not know about it, you are still welcome to share your opinion or site other alternative texts on this subject, THx! in advance

"The Book of Lamech was so fragile that seven years went by before it could be unrolled. It was assumed to be the lost Apocryphal Book of Lamech, but it proved to be a document in Aramaic relating to the Book of Genesis. It is now called the Scroll of the Apocryphal Genesis. It describes the journeys of Abraham."

"When scholars got a look at a small fragment of the seventh and last of the Dead Sea Scrolls found in Jordan in 1947, they discovered the name of Lamech, the father of Noah. They concluded that the seventh scroll was an apocryphal Book of Lamech. There the matter stood, for the seventh scroll seemed too brittle to be unrolled.

In 1954 Israel bought the seventh scroll (and three others) from Jerusalem's Syrian Metropolitan Mar Athanasius Samuel, and experts at Hebrew University tackled the problem of unrolling it. Slowly softened by humid air, the leather scroll finally opened. Its center yielded four complete and legible pages and several fragments. Last week the secret of the seventh scroll was revealed. It proved to be a warning against jumping to conclusions about the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Far from being part of the Book of Lamech, the pages were an Aramaic version of Chapters 12 to 15 of Genesis, interwoven with stories and legends about the Patriarchs. As scholars examined the scroll further, it became clear that all of it deals with the Book of Genesis in the same order as the accepted text. The fragment mentioning Lamech that had misled the scholars was evidently part of Chapter 5 of Genesis."
